Publication Ethics
A. Authorship, Co-Authorship, and Author Responsibilities
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who participated in certain substantial aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. If the article was jointly prepared by more than one author, any authors submitting the manuscript warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to be agreed on this copyright and license notice (agreement) on their behalf and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this policy. INOVAMI: Jurnal Inovasi dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Indonesia will not be held liable for anything that may arise due to the author(s) internal dispute. INOVAMI: Jurnal Inovasi dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Indonesia will only communicate with the corresponding author.
1. Authors must ensure that:
a. the paper attached is the original work written by the author personally or the team
b. the paper has never been published before
c. the data attached is accurate data without any manipulation
d. the data attached is data obtained by yourself or obtained permission from the data source to use the data in the paper that will be published
e. the sources used are written and cited where the material is taken (including self-published writings)
f. the submitted work does not violate copyrights, including privacy rights, and intellectual property rights
g. every paper that comes from funding and for the benefit of an organization must be stated in writing
h. contact the editor to identify, and correct errors found, either before or after the publication of the paper
i. the authorship of the written work is clearly written. This is to ensure that all individuals named as authors participate in the writing process. All participating authors must give consent for the publication and be credited for the work
j. the author must be transparent (risk of duplication of writing) to avoid potential overlapping of written works.
B. Editor and Reviewer Responsibilities
1. Editor/Editorial Board:
a. Consistently maintain ethics for the continuity of the journal
b. Supervise, implement, and make fair and impartial decisions
c. Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of the writing and publishing review
d. Own and maintain the integrity of the journal and be able to see the potential for other interests that can destroy the journal's reputation
e. cooperate with writers, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board to ensure all processes run smoothly and transparently
2. Reviewer
a. maintain the confidentiality of the process and papers that are currently under review
b. do not make direct contact with the author to gain information or revisions
c. fair and impartial
d. transparent
C. Libel, Defamation, and Freedom of Expression
The freedom of expression is essential for robust democracies and the advancement of academic discourse. Our periodicals encompass the perspectives, reflections, claims, and viewpoints of contributing authors. The incorporation of information in our journals must not be interpreted as an endorsement, whether explicit or tacit. Simultaneously, we do not endorse the dissemination of false statements that could damage the reputation of persons, groups, or organisations.
D. Retractions and Corrections
Should an author be discovered to have committed an error, the journal will publish a corrigendum. Should the journal be determined to have committed an error, it will publish an erratum. In extraordinary circumstances, we may withdraw an article from an online publication when deemed necessary to fulfil our legal duties.
E. Fraudulent Research and Research Misconduct
If an article is published with fraudulent research, research misconduct, or plagiarism, the publication will contact the author for a response. In cases of proven or inadequate response, the offending article will be withdrawn and replaced with a publisher statement in the appropriate journal issue.
